May 25, 1934 – March 27, 2017Ronald L. Schroeder, Sr., 82, of New Buffalo, MI passed away in his home on Monday, March 27, 2017. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sommerfeld Chapel, 15 N. Barton St., New Buffalo, MI.
Ron was born on May 25, 1934 in New Buffalo to Harry and Leona (Hillman) Schroeder. He served his country while in the U.S. Army. On June 30, 1956 in New Buffalo he married Shirley Jeanne James; she preceded him in death on August 13, 2000. Ron worked for the Village of Grand Beach for 40 years retiring in 1999 as superintendent. He and his wife loved to go camping with there RV, and Ron loved Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Ron is survived by his daughter – Kelly Kliss of New Buffalo; grandchildren – Courtney and Conner Kliss and Jeremy Schroeder; a great grandson – Nicholas Wolfe; brothers – Robert (Sue) Schroeder and David (Lynn) Schroeder; and sister – Pat (Bill) Cullison.
