Frances Juanita Reisenbichler, age 92, of Three Oaks, Michigan, passed away May 15, 2018 in her sleep in Covington Manor, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on January 20, 1926 in Brownstown, Indiana to Leonard and Martha Kuehn. She met Melvin Reisenbichler at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Wegan, Indiana, and they were married in the church on May 23, 1948. After more than fifty-eight years of marriage, he preceded her in death in 2006. Frances held several secretarial jobs during her life.
A devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer, Michigan, Frances was active in the Ladies Aid Society, funeral committee, quilting committee, choir, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, couples’ club and Bible class. She also spent many hours at the Three Oaks Thrift Shop. Frances enjoyed baking, especially cookies, making jello, doing housework, reading and puzzle books.
A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Frances is survived by her children, Jane (Jim) Porter Gresham of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lois Sharp of Fort Wayne, Joyce (Jim) Duitsman of Atchison, Kansas, Robert (Audrey) Reisenbichler of Loveland, Ohio, Sue Reisenbichler of New York, New York, and Curt (Candy) Reisenbichler of Woodridge, Illinois. Frances has seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by four sisters, Marilyn Park of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Hazel Stockelman of Columbus, Indiana, Carol Littmann of Peach Tree City, Georgia and Nancy Branscom of Warner Robins, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin; the three brothers, Richard Kuehn, Howard Kuehn, and Loren Kuehn.
Family and friends will gather Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Pobocik Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 106 Ash Street East, Three Oaks, Michigan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Road, Sawyer, Michigan with the Reverend Randy Lett officiating. Mrs. Reisenbichler will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Melvin, in Riverview Cemetery in Three Oaks.
The family prefers contributions in Frances’ memory be made to either Trinity Lutheran Church, Post Office Box 247, Sawyer, Michigan 49125, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
