Christopher John Ponicki, age 49, passed away May 14, 2018.
He was born in Niles Michigan on September 30, 1968 the son of Tim and Georgia (Ponicki) Washburn whom survive. Chris is also survived by his wife, Robin (Berry) Ponicki, two daughters, Shelby and Paige Ponicki, two sisters, Ericka and Amanda Washburn, his nephew Caleb Berry, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Chris was employed with Concrete Works of Michigan, he took pride in his work and had a talent for creating beautiful works of art with concrete. He graduated from Mattawan High School and Kalamazoo Valley College. Chris enjoyed the outdoors, music and bon fires. He especially treasured trips to Canada where his family has vacationed for many years. In addition, Chris believed in keeping the longstanding family traditions going. In the past he spent time working at the Van Buren County Youth Camp on the maintenance staff. Most of all Chris loved his daughters and his family.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be directed to the David Braganini Be Nice Memorial Fund.
