Robert Johnson of Atlanta Georgia formerly of Benton Harbor, transitioned on May 12, 2018 at Grady Hospital. Robert “Peco” Johnson age 37, formerly of Benton Harbor, Michigan passed away on Saturday May 12, 2018. He was a graduate of Benton Harbor High school in 1998, and shortly after enlisted in the United States Navy. He later went on to receive his culinary certification from the 180 Culinary Arts Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.

Peco’s talents were many, he was an amazing Chef with a natural knack for culinary creativity. He loved to make people laugh and was always the life of the party! He enjoyed helping others and was a member of Kingdom Life Ministries in Grand Rapids, MI.

He is survived by his mother Cassandra Ellis (Benton Harbor), Father, Robert Johnson II (Detroit,), sisters Raketa Ellis, (Grand Rapids) Granekqua Eaton, ( Benton Harbor) Jasiman Turner,( Charlotte NC) Brittany Everett,( Kingsland GA)  Jada Johnson, Sidney Johnson, (Flint)  Somer Johnson, Mackayla Johnson, brothers Demarius Gilbert, Seth Johnson , Jordan Johnson all of (Grand Rapids) and  Desmond Murphy of (Flint)  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, a special friend Ebony Stevens, and a host of others.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Alex & Sarah Wallace, his grandfather’s Robert Houston Johnson Sr. and Rudolph King Ellis II and his Uncles Rudolph King Ellis III, Fred Wallace,  and Emmanuel Wallace.
