Ms. Rose Marie White, 58, of Benton Harbor, MI was born on June 22, 1958 in Benton Harbor. She was the daughter of the late Mary Peals and Eddie White. She attended Benton Harbor Area Schools. She was employed at Orchard Grove Nursing Home until her health failed her. Rose was known for her big smile and laughter. Once she started laughing you couldn’t help but to join in. Although she was not blessed to have children of her own, Rose helped to raise her nieces and nephews and one step-daughter. She was deeply loved by all the kids in the family. On Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Bronson Hospital, the God of Life gave Rose new birth into paradise, leaving fond memories in the hearts of one step-daughter, Ericka (Ellery) Rayford of St. Paul, Minnesota; four brothers, James (Shirley) Griffin of Oakpark, MI and Kirt (Teon) White of Colorado Springs, CO, Russell (Alma Peals of Benton Harbor, MI and Jerome (Gaynell) Peals of Seattle, WA; six sisters, Martha Cryer of Buchanan, MI, Vernita Jones of Southfield, MI, Mary White, Annette Douglas and Lucille Harris all of Benton Harbor, MI and Marcia (Hosea) Covington of Long Beach, CA; one God sister, Marissa Nelums of Chicago, IL; twenty four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law Woodrow Anderson of Kalamazoo, MI and a special niece, Joawnia White of Berrien Springs.. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Peals and Eddie White; step father, Lee Peals; her loving companion of thirty five years, Dave Bowman, hr maternal grandparents, Anderson and Josephine White; three brothers, Randy Peals, Edward Griffin and Robert Peals; two sisters, Pauline Anderson and Janice White. Funeral services for Rose will be held at 12 pm on Friday, August 12, 2016 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Benton Harbor with Pastor Maurice McAfee officiating.
