Lillian Beatrice ”LB” Jones, 69 of Benton Harbor peacefully passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at home. A service celebrating Lillian’s life on Friday, September 9 at Greater Community Christian Fellowship C.O.G.I.C., 870 Nate Wells Sr. Dr. Benton Harbor. Lillian was a member of the Vocal Aires Gospel Singers and Gospel promoter for fifty years.
Lillian is survived by her husband, James Jones Jr of 53 years; their four children, Deshone Jones, Alicia Jones-Razor and Cecilia “Beanie” Jones- Bishop and James “Jimmy” (Daisy) Jones III; brother, George (Joane) Dixon of DeWitt, IA; sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; brother-in-law, Tillis Jones; five grandchildren, James (LaToria) Jones IV, DeAndria (Jeff) Moore, Dejah Jones, Lars Razor Jr, and Alana Razor; three great grandchildren, Markeith Jones, Jaicee Brown and Jawon Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Mae Steward; step father, Otto Steward; father, George Dixon Sr.; brother, Joseph Earl Steward.
