Leonard James Ross, 63, of South Haven, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the West Shore Medical Center in Manistee. He was born March 14, 1953 to Earl and Helen (Haddix) Ross in Flint, Michigan. Leonard married Barbara Hollis on April 9, 1991. He worked at Consumers Power for 38 years before retiring as a maintenance superintendent.
He is survived by his wife – Barbara Ross of South Haven, children – James (Helen) McTheeney of Grand Rapids, Jennifer (Scott) Margrif of Grand Blanc, Leonard (Mellisa) McTheeney of Phoenix, Arizona, and David (MaKayla) Ross of Corunna, Michigan, siblings – Daniel (Sherry) of Rockford, Michigan, Edward (Deanna) of Lapeer, Michigan, Gary (Diane) of Freeland, Michigan, and Wayne (Brent) Ross of Atlanta, Georgia. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Funeral services will follow visitation at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with David and Edward Ross officiating. Contributions may be made in Leonard’s memory to your local American Legion Veterans Fund.
