
Patricia “Patty” A. Toney, 66, of Stevensville passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Pastor Roy Casteleuono officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday October 4, 2016 and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Patty was born on February 11, 1950 in Benton Harbor, MI to Warren A. & Ruth (Zandarski) Toney. She graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1969. Patty worked in the accounts payable department at Whirlpool for many years. She was very active in her church often volunteering with the food pantry. Patty loved spending time with her grandchildren often attending their special events, she also enjoyed spending time with her “partner in crime” Ed, they liked to drive around looking for deer. Patty was a true friend to many always wanting to help out in any way needed.
Patty is survived by her son Ronald (Gini McIlroy) Kruger of St. Joseph; daughter, Mel (Don) Bush of Stevensville; five grandchildren Courtney, Ellery, Owen, Colton and Brandon; sisters Lareene (Dale) Canfield of St. Joseph and Lauretta (Jim) Mann of Niles; brothers Greg Toney of Berrien Springs, George Toney of Berrien Springs, Larry (Carol) Toney of Buchanan and Sonny (Cherryl) Toney of Galien; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend Ed Kissinger of St. Joseph and her two constant companions, her cats Rita Pita and Little Man. She was preceded in death by her parents.
