Jerry W. Likes, 71 of Eau Claire passed away Feb. 7, 2017 at Caretel Inn in St. Joseph.

Services celebrating his life with military honors will be held 11:00 am Friday, Feb. 10 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Zion UCC Cemetery in Pipestone Township. Jerry was born November 22, 1945 in Benton Harbor to William and Stella (Krugh) Likes.   He graduated from Eau Claire High School and married his wife, of almost 50 years, Barbara on August 6, 1966. He was a member of the American Legion Post 105 in Benton Harbor, having served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era.  Following the service he was a contractor for various companies over the years.  He was also a Boy Scout leader and a member of the Sister Lakes Lions Club.  In his free time Jerry enjoyed woodworking,  tending to his flower garden, and loved history, especially the Civil War.

Survivors include his brother in law, David (Rebecca) Freehling; sister in laws, Mary (Richard) Whitright, Nancy White, and Hope (Jeff) Sinner.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2014 and his siblings.
