Lorene Tucker 79, of Benton Harbor, Michigan passed away on September 9, 2017 at Lakeland HealthCare.
Her Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:00pm at Pentecostal Apostolic Faith Peace Church with Pastor R.C. Gulley, officiating. Viewing will be 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Lorene was born on October 11, 1937 to the late Leroy Turner and Margaret Leadbetter in Pulaski, Illinois. She later married the Late Curtis E. Tucker, Jr. on December 5, 1955. She was known as The Famous “Fish Lady” in the Benton Harbor community. She loved her family, her pastor and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kera Cooper; four sisters, Gladys Cook, Mamie Ellison, Catherine Triplett, Jernice Turner and one brother, Kenneth Caldwell Turner .
She leaves to cherish her fond memories four children, Kevin (Lolita) Tucker, Karyn Tucker, Karla (Andre) Stewart, and Kisha (Brian) Perry; one brother, Jimmy Turner; her grandchildren, Stephen Tucker, Shaton Tucker, Sharod Walters, Shaniqua Crenshaw, Shakayla Tucker, Shaquille Acklin, Shakeena Tucker, Shanise Tucker, Timia Phillips, Brian Perry Jr., Timera Phillips; special niece, Annette Triplett; special nephew, Damion Tripplett; special brother-in-law, James (Janice) Tucker, special aunt, Helen Turner-Davis; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
