Eugene A. Tillman, 84, of Coloma, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, peacefully at his home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 419 Cherry St, South Haven, MI 49090 with Pastor Michael Schmid officiating. Those wishing to visit with the family may do so two hours prior to the service from 10-12 at the church. Burial will follow the service at Shanghai Cemetery in Eau Claire. Eugene was born on October 17, 1933, in Detroit, MI to George and Sarah (Villwock) Tillman. He married Dorothy Wojcicki and together they had four children, two who preceeded him in death. She preceded him in death on March 11, 1987. He later married Betty Harris on April 17, 2004. He worked as a cement finisher at Pearson Construction Company for over thirty years. Eugene loved his church family and being a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in South Haven. Eugene was a man of great compassion who always took care of his family and friends. He was guided by his Christian values and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Betty Tillman; children, Randy Tillman and Dr. Wayne (Lynn) Tillman; grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary, Bella and Cross Tillman; sister, Joan (Robert) Deam; step-sons, Don (Paula) Harris, Darrell (Kathy) Harris and step-daughter, Donna (Mike) Dermody along with several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Sarah; first wife, Dorothy; brother, Robert Tillman and sister, Shirley Harner.
