Linda Kay Stevens

Linda Kay Stevens, age 69 years of Niles, Michigan died peacefully at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 with her family gathered around at the Hospice House in Roseland, Indiana following an extended illness.

She was born on March 6, 1949 in Niles to Carl Edwin and Betty Marie (Watson) Jones. She was graduated from the Dowagiac (Michigan) Union High School, and was employed for several years at the former Dowagiac Building and Loan office. She has lived in Niles most of her life.

Linda was devoted to her family. She is survived by her sons, Michael Stevens of Niles and Patrick Stevens of South Bend, Indiana; her mother, Betty Jones of Dowagiac; sisters, Mary Margaret (& Roy) Biancalana of Saint Charles, Illinois and Ginger Richardson of Dowagiac; nieces and a nephew, Angela (& Darius) Hurley, Katie (& Chris) Lorden, Ryan (& Emily) Evans, and Kristina (& Ben) Walters; and great-nieces and nephews, Cade, Avelyn, Emma, Liam, Molly, and Will.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Jones on November 9, 2006.

The funeral service for Linda Stevens will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home, 615 East Main Street in Niles with the Rev. Fran Lane-Lawrence of First Presbyterian Church of Niles officiating. The family will gather privately, later for burial at South Wayne Cemetery, near Dowagiac.
