Paul Edward Greer, 71, of Saint Joseph passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 surrounded by family. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Lakeside Family Church, 6999 Red Arrow Hwy, Stevensville, with an open gathering of family and friends starting at 12 p.m.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Tammy (Brame) Greer, his children Julee (Marcus) Smucker, Ryan (Andrea) Greer, Breanna Greer (Shane Empie), and Valerie Greer (Brian Merritt) and his grandson, Daniel Smucker. He will also be remembered by his extended family, his many close friends, and his “brothers” Keith LaFond, Dan LaFond, and Tim Montgomery. He is preceded in death by his parents Gladys and Ruben Greer and his siblings.
Paul lived a full life and loved many people. He made friends everywhere he went and never let too much time go between laughs. He was a proud veteran who served in the Air Force during Vietnam. Paul worked at Whirlpool for 14 years and was known by coworkers and friends as “Wolfie”. He later owned his own business, Paul’s Lawn Care, and enjoyed building relationships with his many customers. Paul loved spending time in his garden and was born with a green thumb. He loved listening to music, collecting records, and attending concerts with his wife. For many years, Paul would bring his jolly spirit and demeanor to children of all ages at Christmastime by playing Santa Claus. Paul was a member at Lakeside Family Church and he found great comfort in his faith. More than anything, Paul enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.
Paul had many people that supported him and brought comfort to him and his family during his courageous battle with cancer. The family would like to extend their thanks to you all.
