Julia Jean Hafer-Taylor

Julia Jean Hafer-Taylor, 63, of Stevensville, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Lakeland hospital of St. Joseph.

Julia was born on July 5, 1958 to Harold and Dolores “Dody” (Dziekanowski) Hafer Sr. in St. Joseph Michigan. She started her career as a server at Red Lobster, moving herself up the ladder to eventually becoming the manager and helping with the opening of several new locations. She loved the restaurant business and went on to open her own restaurant. She was proud to have married Richard Taylor, a retired Sgt. Major with the United Stated Marine Corp. She collected angels, loved her pets and chocolate. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Baroda. The ladies of St. John’s were her Angel Squad.

Julia is survived by her mother, Dolores “Dody” Hafer of Stevensville, her husband, Richard Taylor, and her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Tamara Hafer, Jr. of Glendora.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Glendora Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her father. Cremation is to take place, with the Florin Funeral Service, Fairplain Chapel assisting her family.
