Lilburn N. Robinson, 85 of Coloma, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 10, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place.  A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 8th at the Benton Harbor Church of Christ, 1495 E. Empire Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022.  After the service everyone is invited to remain at the church for a time of food and fellowship.

Lilburn was born February 13, 1936 in Caraway, Ark to Roy and Edith (Mills) Robinson.  He truly enjoyed operating a lift truck for various organizations, eventually retiring from North Arkansas Poultry. His favorite pastimes were spending time with his family and going to church. When he was unable to attend church, he would sit in his chair and watch the birds, while listening to his bible.  His favorite verse was Psalm 23:4 – “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”  Lilburn always said he didn’t fear death because he knew Jesus would be waiting there for him.  Benton Harbor Church of Christ was a big part of his life.  He would say when walking through the doors that he was always greeted with so many smiles and hugs.  When he became too ill to attend, members would still call to check on him and send cards to cheer him up.

Survivors include his children; Lora Robinson of Niles, Sara (Vern) Sawyer of Coloma, Nacole Robinson of Baroda, and Matthew Robinson.  Also surviving is a stepson Howard Miney of Benton Harbor; stepdaughters, Patty Lingg of Gobles, Pamela Cashwell of Baroda and nine grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Lilburn was preceded in death by five brothers, Edgar, James, Lendell, Eugene, and Lavon Robinson; a granddaughter Megan Sawyer, grandson Shane Barker, a special niece Chris Marie Robinson, and cousin Burndell Mills.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Duffield & Pastrick, Coloma.
