A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 12PM, at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 11AM until time of the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville. Sharon was born on June 11, 1947, to Leonard & Dorothy (Krach) Schmidt in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Kimball High School in Detroit. On December 27, 1969, Sharon married her high school sweetheart, Rev. William James “Jim” Lowmaster Jr., in Detroit. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was in charge of the assimilation committee and assisted with altar guild. She had an extensive hedgehog collection and had several pet hedgehogs over the years.
Sharon is survived by her children, Vicki (Lance) Rausch of Stevensville, MI and Joshua Lowmaster of Michigan City, IN; and brother Leonard (Geneva) Schmidt of Norton, OH.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Dorothy Schmidt; husband Jim Lowmaster, Jr., and son Robert “Bobby” Lowmaster.
