Family services will be held at a later date at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Stevensville American Legion Post #568. Bob was born on August 15, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Alexander and Bertha Schaeffer. He had a business degree in accounting. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Air Force. Bob married his wife, Paula Richardson, and she preceded him in death in 2001. They celebrated 26 years of marriage and he missed his wife since her death. Bob worked at NASA for the Grumman Company in their Propulsion and Electronics Division during the Apollo Missions. Currently he was a manager at the Internal Revenue Service for the State of Michigan. Bob was a member of the Stevensville American Legion Post #568. He loved spending time with his family.
His family includes his children, Ann-Marie (Brian) Liggett of Stevensville and Alex (Sara) Schaeffer of Stevensville and his 2 grandchildren, Alex and Ethan Liggett.
