Gregory Curtis (Cat Daddy) Norwood was born July 4th, 1955, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the Union of Sidney Norwood Sr. and Thelma Lee Norwood.

Gregory departed this life on Monday, January 10th, 2022, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Gregory received his formal education from Dowagiac Public Schools and Benton Harbor Area Schools.

Gregory enjoyed first and foremost spending time with his family and friends.  His Granddaughter and Great Granddaughter were the” Spark” of his eye and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them.

Gregory also loved to cook and to Bar- B- Que and he loved his sports, especially the Cubs.  Gregory was best known for being outspoken and having an unapologetic will to make everyone laugh by using every swear word in one sentence.

He leaves to cherish his memory Sisters Janice Harden and Trina Norwood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Pamela Norwood-Wright (Sean), and Traletta Porter of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Brothers Alphonzo Porter and Ricky (Mary) Norwood of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Jeffery Norwood (Ursula) of Madison, Wisconsin. Omar and Nicole Shields and his granddaughter Chiontae (Blake) and Great Granddaughters Khole and Kalee McKinney. Three great Friends Hilton, Calvin, and Limmie.

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Gregory was preceded in death by both Parents Sidney Norwood Sr. and Thelma Lee Norwood, two brothers Arnold Craig and Sidney Jr. Norwood, Three Sisters Karen Kay, Julie Ann, and Sharon Ann Norwood. And his number is 5 Brother Buddy Webb.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
