Stanley V. Dohm

Stanley V. Dohm, 88, died Feb. 2, 2022 at his home in Eau Claire.

He was born March 14, 1933 in his family home in Eau Claire. He was the son of the late Vaughn and Marie (Kirk) Dohm. On April 11, 1953 he married Rosalind “Snookie” Gustafson, and she preceded him in death in 2017.

Stanley served in the US Army, and after discharge, he bought the family farm where he lived and worked for 66 years. He was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he was loved by all in the community. His shop was always open to offer help to other farmers and friends. He loved fishing and spending Friday nights at the races. Stanley was admired by many, quick-witted, and a loving hard-working family man.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire. The funeral service will be at 12 noon Monday, Feb. 7, followed by burial in Shanghai Cemetery, Eau Claire. Memorials may be given to Caring Circle Hospice. Share a memory at www.bowermanfuneral.com.

Survivors include his son, David (Jane) Dohm; daughters: Diane (Craig) Burbach, Kathy (Neil) Johnson, Lori (Ed) Gast; brothers: George (Linda) Dohm, Benny (Sandy) Dohm, Earl Dohm; sisters: Helen Sanders, Reva Gonzalez, Betty Shembarger; grandchildren: Brittney (Josh) Spivey, Samantha (Matt) Clark, McKenzie (Ryan) Burbach, Kelsey (Kaleb) Yacklich, Hannah (Ryan) Johnson, Adam (Marylin) Bishop, Abby Bishop, Anna Gast, Sevrin Dohm, Jessie Dohm, Josh Hess; and great-grandchildren: Dylan Clark, Harper Clark, Chloe Spivey, Colton Comer, Knox (Pete) Comer, Maeve Yacklich, Jace, Nolan and Max Bishop, D.J. and Evan Bennett.
