Carolyn June Reid, 98, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Carolyn was born on May 8, 1925 in Niles, Michigan to the late Phillip Charles Tuesley and Esther Margaret (Montgomery) Tuesley.
Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean Lee Reid; son-in-law, George Johnson; sister, Eunice Hurlbutt, and brother-in-law, Melvin Hurlbutt.
Left to cherish the memory of Carolyn are her children, Phyllis Johnson and Connie Sue (Don) Webber; 5 grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Mudd, Kevin Johnson, Michelle (Jeff) Streelman, Erica (Scott) Neumann, and Tad (Stephanie) Webber; 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Carolyn’s love for life was evident in her many interests, which included bingo, camping, and spending quality time with her friends.
Carolyn’s love for people was unparalleled. She had a knack for making everyone feel special and loved, and her presence was a source of joy and comfort to many. Her love for her family was evident in the many trips they took together to Walt Disney and Cancun, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
A connoisseur of all kinds of beer, Carolyn was always ready to raise a glass in celebration or comfort. Her spirit was as effervescent as her favorite brew, and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Carolyn’s passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation for Carolyn will be on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with a Funeral Service to be held at 2:00pm at Brown Funeral Home, 521 East Main St. Niles, MI 49120.
A Celebration of Life honoring Carolyn will be held at the Eagles following the services on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
Burial will take place on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 10:00am at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens 61453 M-51, Niles, MI 49120.
