
Clifford “Wayne” Clapsaddle, 83, of Coloma, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Wayne was born on October 1, 1940 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Clifford and Catherine Clapsaddle. Following his graduation from Coloma High School, he served his country in the U.S. Navy in the submarine rescue squad. After his time in the service, he was employed at Riverside Electric for over 50 years prior to his retirement. Wayne was a lifetime member of the Coloma Masonic Lodge. In his free time, he enjoyed snow skiing trips to both Canada and Europe. He was an accomplished pilot and owned his own plane. He also enjoyed flying the gas-powered model planes and helicopters. Another hobby of Wayne’s was repairing old radios.
Wayne is survived by his two brothers, Robert Clapsaddle of Riverside and Charles (Barbara) Clapsaddle of Berrien Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
