Jerry Duane Fast, 85, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Auburndale, Florida.

Jerry was born on November 9, 1938 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to the late Alvy Fast and Trevetta (Fraiser) Howard.

Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Arlene (Shoff) Fast and sister, Mary Peltzer.

Left to cherish the memory of Jerry is his daughter, Carrie Caulder; grandchildren, Candace Bunker, Billy Caulder, and Austin Caulder, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Jerry embodied the spirit of charity and kindness, finding immense joy in his devout Christian faith. He was a pillar in his church, fervently involved in various ministries and always eager to volunteer, embodying Christ’s love through his actions.

Jerry’s love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. With vigor, he exercised regularly, took pleasure in biking, and found peace walking the scenic trails. His zest for life was contagious, and his enthusiasm for caring for creation was an inspiration to many.

Jerry, alongside his devoted wife Arlene, dedicated over two decades to being caring foster parents in both Florida and Michigan, touching the lives of countless children with an unwavering commitment to providing a loving and stable home. In every endeavor, Jerry brought light and warmth, treating each foster child as a precious member of his own family. The selfless couple nurtured and guided their foster children with patience, kindness, and understanding, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts and the community.

Renowned for his boundless warmth, Jerry never met a stranger; his open heart touched countless lives. He dedicated time to visiting the elderly, brightening their days with his compassionate presence and warm smile. A truly great man, Jerry’s legacy of love and kindness will resonate for generations.

Per Jerry’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
