Nancy Elaine Rader, a beacon of warmth and joy, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, at the age of 75 in Mishawaka, Indiana after a brief illness. Born on May 2, 1948, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Kenneth Sr. and Mabuta (Reeder) Eager. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and the simple joy of song.

Nancy’s early years in Lincoln laid the foundation for a life full of love and service. Her journey led her to Niles. For many years, she served with grace and efficiency as a secretary at a local chiropractic office, where her warm smile and gentle demeanor were as healing as the services the office provided.

Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, and as a longtime member of the Niles Westside Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Nancy’s voice rang out in the church, touching the hearts of all who heard her sing. Her love for music was an integral part of her spirit, and her melodies will resonate in the memories of those who knew her.

Nancy’s legacy is carried on by her devoted son, Travis (Patty) Rader, who reflects her nurturing love and strength. She was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Eager Jr., with whom she now shares a heavenly reunion. Her family, friends, and all who were graced by her presence will forever cherish the time they spent with Nancy.

Funeral services will be held at a later date this spring.
