Perry worked at National Motors from the mid 60’s until 1982. He then became a janitor at Covert Public Schools. He also did odd jobs around the community and later managed Ranch House Ribs. He was the true definition of a jack of all trades.

Perry was loved by many, and treated everyone like his own family. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outside in the yard, working on things or just sitting on his porch enjoying the weather. Perry did not hold back; he was known for keeping it real and telling it like it is and he had a nickname for everyone but his nickname was “cigar” by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Daniel Jr., JB, and Isaac. His sisters: Annie Mae, Ruby and Willie Mae. His nephews: Gene, Joe and Issac Jr. and nieces: Ann and Betty.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife of 63 years – Gladys Marie Broady, five kids: Jeffrey (Artelia) Walker of Indianapolis, IN, Patricia Broady of Covert MI, Perry (Brenda) Broady Jr. of Covert MI, David Broady of Covert MI, Sherry (Frederick) Broady of Covert MI and a bonus son Carl Hall of Kalamazoo MI. Ten grandchildren: Sidney, Daleeta (Darrell), Cochè, Coreena, Malik, Breana, Carla, Carissma, Isaiah and Juelz and 15 great grandchildren, three sisters: Catherine, Alice and Jessie Mae. Sister in laws and brother in laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He made his final transition to be with the lord on April 8th, 2024 in which he was surrounded by his family.

Perry loved God, his family, and life. He lived without expecting anything from anybody but gave whatever he could whenever needed. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
