Mildred Lucille Dyer, 91, of Covert, passed away peacefully at West Woods of Bridgman Nursing Center on April 29, 2024.
Visitation for Mildred will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and again on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Filbrandt Chapel 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, MI 49090. Rev. Terrie Mahone will officiate. Mildred will be laid to rest at Covert Cemetery, Covert, Michigan.
Mildred was born July 21, 1932, in Covert, Michigan to Willard and Nellie (Siver) Moore. Mildred loved life. She was a people person who never met a stranger. She was Grandma to everyone. Mildred loved to go places and out to dinner. She especially loved spending time with her cat.
Midred worked at Covert School for 21 years, spending 12 years as a bus driver and 10 years as a custodian. She owned a reupholster furniture company, and also sold Avon.
Mildred is survived by a daughter Janice West; six granddaughters: many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Nellie Moore; son, Robert Dyer; and daughter, Barbara Merritt. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her.
