Ivan Rodriguez-Vega, 18, of Lawton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 11, 2024 in Lower Lake, CA. He was born March 12, 2006 in Muskegon, MI to Ivan Rodriguez and Ana Vega Alfaro.
The family will be receiving guests from 5-8pm, Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Newell Chapel, 83313 M-51, Decatur. Visiting will continue on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 12pm until time of funeral Mass at 1pm, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 500 W. St. Marys St., Decatur. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Decatur. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses c/o of Lawton Public Schools, 101 Primary Way, Lawton, MI 49065.
Ivan had been so excited for his trip to California for his sister’s quinceanera, which unfortunately lead to his untimely passing. Ivan was a loving and caring person. He enjoyed spending time with friends and was easy to get along with. He was an avid music lover, and a talented rapper. He enjoyed staying active and working out, but also enjoyed his down time with video games and family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Ivan’s Michigan family includes Susana (Eduardo Romero) Castro, Rosauro Romero-Rodriguez, Eduardo Romero-Rodriguez, Brian Romero-Rodriguez, Aida (Patrick) Fisher, and many other extended family members and friends from here and around the country.
