
Frances “Jean” Reidenbach 90, of Niles, died peacefully with her family present, August 19, 2024. She was born to John and Berniece Van Tuyl in Niles, on April 1, 1934. She graduated from Niles High School Class of 1952 and lived in Niles all her life.
Jean was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister and served on special committees. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and during high school she was a member of the Jeeps. Jean was previously employed by First Source Bank for five years and Simplicity Pattern Company for twenty six years. She also worked at Joann Fabrics primarily for the discounts that fed her quilting, sewing, knitting and crochet hobby. Jean especially loved to spend time with her family whom she loved dearly.
On June 4, 1955 she married William Thomas Reidenbach with whom she celebrated sixty one years before he passed in March of 2017.
She is survived by her four sons, Mark (Gwen) Reidenbach, Matt (MaryKay) Reidenbach, Scott Reidenbach, Neal (Stacey) Reidenbach; eleven grandchildren, Jodi (Kevin) Spiegelberg, Kiel (Samantha) Reidenbach, Brian (Nandrae) Reidenbach, Emily (Tyler) Allard, Nick (Audra) Reidenbach, Dan (Nicole) Reidenbach,
Andrea Reidenbach, Mollie Reidenbach, Hannah (Dan) Dalton, Kristen (Jake) Kierzek, Kate (Mitchell) Roberts; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband William Thomas Reidenbach, parents John and Bernice Van Tuyl, brother, Richard Van Tuyl, her sister Barbara Hesser and her daughter in law Valerie.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 11a.m., in St. Mary’s Catholic Church 219 South State Street, Niles. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. In Halbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 East Main Street in Niles. with rosary beginning at 7:30p.m.
