Dorothy (Bryant) Williams

Dorothy’s life began September 16, 1934, in Tennessee. When she was three her family moved to Michigan. Lovingly known as Dot by many she loved living in the Southwest Michigan area. Dot enjoyed gardening which drew her to work at DeGroot Inc. for many years. She loved being outside working, walking, or just enjoying the weather. Dot will be remembered for being a simple, caring woman who loved to give back to others.

Dot loved spending time with her loving family which includes: her three children Brenda (Jerry) Muff, Theresa (Scott) Smith, and Odie (Aimee) Williams Jr; ten grandchildren Erica, Jennifer, Dawn, Sarah, Steven, Doug, Ryan, Zachary, Kaleb and Madelynn; 14 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a brother Joe (Sue) Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.

Dot died Friday, August 23, 2024, at Corewell Heath in St. Joseph, Michigan. She is preceded in death by; her husband Odie Williams Sr, a daughter Debra Dix, a great grandson, a great great granddaughter; a brother Weldon, three sisters Mildred, Emily, and LulaBelle, and her parents Thomas Murry and Mattie Maureane (Lane) Bryant.

Dot’s life will be celebrated Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 1:30 PM with visitation prior starting at 12:00 PM at Hutchins Funeral Home in Watervliet. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made in Dot’s memory to St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Center. You are invited to leave a message of comfort to her family.
