Vincent Curtis Carter was born on November 30,1969 in Berrien Springs, Michigan to Rolanda Carter and Tyrone Tony Blanks. Vincent departed this earthly life on September 6, 2024 after a long battle with diabetes.
Vincent joined church at an early age and always found Joy in helping out with the church. He also had a childhood passion for baseball and was a longtime Union Field Giants baseball team member. He also dedicated his time to coaching basketball for little league. He loved to spice up his cars. Vincent loved to dance, one of the original discos 2000 winners for breakdancing. Vincent was an honorable discharged veteran with the United States Army.
Leaving behind to cherish his memories are daughters; Torie of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Tyler Carter of Benton Harbor, Michigan, sons; Matthew Sanford of Chicago, and Jordan Tyler of Benton Harbor, Michigan, one and only sister; Belinda Carter, 6 grandkids, special grandson; Kaysen Howard of Benton Harbor, Michigan, uncles; Curtis Hunter of South Bend, Indiana and Sammy Blanks of Benton Harbor, Michigan, aunt; Eloise Haskins of Chicago, special brothers/friends Wesley Jackson, Sam Williams, Telis Cummings, Randy Windmon, Tywanye Jones and Gilbert Bailey, HBO family and a host of others.
Vincent was preceded in death by mother Rolanda Carter; father Tyrone Blanks; maternal grandmother Wilma Lee; grandfather William Howard Lee; paternal grandmother Rosie Blanks-Mcallister; aunt Veronica Hunter-Perkins, and wife Kattura Ogburn-Carter.
A Memorial service for Vincent will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 2:30pm at Benton Charter Township Park, 451 Zollar Dr.
