Shane Thomas Horsley, 55, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Nils, Michigan.
Shane was born on July 3, 1969 in Hammond, Indiana to John Richard Horsley and Bernadette (Grzych) Kocan.
Shane was preceded in death by his father, John Richard Horsley and Gary Kocan.
Left to cherish the memory of Shane is his loving wife, Dawn (Coleman) Horsley; children, Troy Coleman, Courtney (Brady) Stump, and Brilyn Horsley; 7 grandchildren; mother, Bernadette Kocan; sister, Sharise Smith, and two brothers.
Shane found happiness in the simplest of pleasures. A man of humble nature, he was often found sharing captivating stories with anyone who had a moment to spare.
Shane reveled in the adventure of the open sea, frequently going on cruises that ignited his spirit of exploration and relaxation. His professional life was deeply rooted in the medical marijuana field, where his compassionate work touched many lives. Above all, the time he spent with his grandchildren was the source of his greatest pride and joy.
In his quieter moments, Shane was an avid computer enthusiast, always ready to learn new skills or play a game. Shane’s passion for life and his kind-hearted approach to everyone he met will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
In keeping with Shane’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
