IHSAA Semistate pairings announced
Semi-state pairings have been announced for the IHSAA boys’ basketball tournament. In Class 4A, SB Riley will take on Fishers at 10 AM Saturday at the Elkhart Semi-State at Northside Gym. The winner will play either Homestead or Crown Point in the championship game Saturday night. At the Class 3A Logansport Semi-State, SB St. Joseph takes on Maconaquah at 10 AM Saturday. The winner will take on either East Chicago Central or Delta. In 2A at Michigan City, Jimtown will meet Manchester at 1 PM Saturday with the winner meeting Gary 21st Century or Wapahani. In the 1A Semi-State, Triton takes on Clinton Prairie at Lafayette Jefferson with a chance to play Kouts or Monroe Central on Saturday night.
Brandywine in MHSAA Quarterfinals tonight
The Brandywine girls are looking to get back to the Breslin Center in their state quarterfinal game tonight. Brandywine will take on Grandville Calvin Christian tonight at 7 PM at Loy Norrix in Kalamazoo, marking the 11th conference champion the Bobcats have faced this year. They’ve beaten the previous 10 as part of their 26-0 record. Experience is on the side of Brandywine having 10 players from the state title run a year ago.
