Dora Lee (White) Roseburrow was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi on May 2, 1941 to the union or Willie and Ruthie Mae White. From a young age, Dora had a heart open to faith. She confessed Jesus Christ as her personal lord and savior at an early age and became a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church in Crystal Springs under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr D.D Smith.

Dora relocated to Benton Harbor, Michigan where she reaffirmed her faith at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev Dr. Daniel E. Cook and later Rev. James O Childs.

Dora’s love for music was unmistakable. Gifted with a beautiful singing voice, she joined the church choir alongside her sisters, lifting her voice in praise and worship; a true family affair filled with harmony, both literal and spiritual.

Professionally, Dora dedicated many years of service to the Shoreham Nursing Home until she retired, Choosing to care full-time for youngest son, Demario a role she cherished deeply.

Love found Dora in 1973 when Clifton Roseburrow laid eyes on her and boldly declared to himself that she was going to be his wife. True to his word on March 19, 1979, Dora and Clifton were united in marriage. Their union lasted until Clifton’s passing in 2002, but their love story remains timeless.

She wore many hats; and her kitchen was her sanctuary, where she cooked for family and friends with joy and love. Dora worried over her family like only a mother could, always asking, always checking in,

If you were lucky enough to know her, you undoubtedly heard her favorite saying “I love you so much, and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
