Colts QB Anthony Richardson Suffers Dislocated Pinkie in Preseason Opener
Anthony Richardson suffered a dislocated pinkie on his throwing hand in Thursday night’s 24-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens when linebacker David Ojabo sacked him with 7:33 left in the first quarter of the teams’ preseason opener. The team’s medical staff popped the finger back into place, but Richardson soon was ruled out for the game, ending his night early amid his ongoing battle with veteran Daniel Jones. Richardson indicated after the game that he felt mostly fine. He said there was some swelling and that the finger was tender. Head coach Shane Steichen said he wasn’t sure how he would proceed this week. If Richardson is available, he might have to get a longer look against Green Bay seeing how Jones finished the first half completing 10 of 21 passes for 144 yards. Also in the NFL preseason, Philadelphia held off Cincinnati for a 34-27 win. Las Vegas and Seattle ended in a tie 23-23. Tonight, the Detroit Lions get their preseason schedule started in Atlanta against the Falcons at 7 PM. The Chicago Bears host the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at 1 PM.
DHS Under Fire for ‘Speedway Slammer’ Post Featuring IndyCar Imagery
IndyCar driver Pato O’Ward and series officials were shocked by a social media post from the Department of Homeland Security that touts plans for an immigration detention center in Indiana dubbed “the Speedway Slammer,” and includes a car with the same number as the only Mexican driver in the series. The post Tuesday included an image of a IndyCar-style vehicle with the #5 that had “ICE” imposed on it multiple times like the display of a sponsor. It appeared to be a computer-created image, with the car on a track and a prison-like building in the background. IndyCar says they were unaware of plans to incorporate their imagery in the announcement and would prefer its intellectual property not be used moving forward in relation to the matter.

Crypto Promoter Claims Responsibility for Sex Toy Stunts at WNBA Games
A self-described crypto enthusiast told ESPN he is part of a group that orchestrated recent sex toy stunts that have disrupted at least three WNBA games in the past 10 days. The anonymous man, who uses Lt. Daldo Raine as his username on X – a nod to Brad Pitt’s character in the movie “Inglourious Basterds” — said that the stunts were meant to market a crypto coin that his online community created. The group, he said, wants to reclaim the creative and community aspects of the crypto world. The price of their memecoin has spiked by about 300% in the past week.
