Donna M. Green, 81, of Benton Harbor passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Services celebrating her life will be held 12:00 noon Friday at Duffield and Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday. Donna was born January 6, 1945 in Benton Harbor to James and Virginia (Pallasch) Sirk. She received her Master’s Degree in teaching, and retired from Benton Harbor Area Schools after over 19 years of service. Donna was a member of Coloma Bible Church. In her free time, she enjoyed feeding the birds, gardening, and especially breeding and raising parrots and quakers.
Donna is survived by her children; Darrol (Eileen) Green of Texas, Jackie (Danny Hargett) Loggains, Rhonda (Roger) Heimbuch, and Russell Green all of Michigan. Also surviving is her “bonus daughter”, Sophie; three brothers Richard Sirk of St Joseph, Jerry (Tina) Sirk of Benton Harbor, Chuck (Carol) Sirk of DeMotte, Indiana; a sister Joyce (Ronny) Lane of St. Joseph; a sister-in-law Irene; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; along with special friends Karon Miller, Rosa Teuling, and Mary Alvarado.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband Dewayne in 2017, whom she married January 15, 1966; two brothers Dennis and Billy Sirk, a daughter-in-law Violeta Green and two sister-in-law’s Mabel and Barb.
