
Kenneth C. “Ken” Puglisi, 73, of Buchanan, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Hanson Hospice in Stevensville. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel & Cremation Services. Ken was born February 21, 1953, in White Eagle, PA, to Francis Sr., and Dominica “Minnie” (Bottonari) Puglisi. Ken graduated from Mon Valley Catholic High School in 1971 and later trained as an electrician at technical school.
Beginning his career at Bethlehem Steel, Ken later moved to Arcelor-Mittal in Burns Harbor, where he advanced to supervisor and remained a dedicated member of the workforce until his retirement in April 2019. He was also a proud member of Steelworkers Local #6787.
On April 16, 1977, Ken married Elizabeth Howard in Valparaiso, IN. Together they built a life centered on family, tending their farm, and caring for their horses. Ken enjoyed Sunday visits to Gustavsen’s Café (always bringing a cinnamon roll home for Elizabeth), playing guitar, and golfing with friends at Brookwood Golf Course, where his friendly nature made him many new friends. Ken will be remembered for his steady work ethic, warm spirit, and devotion to family.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Elizabeth; children, Jeromy (Angela) Puglisi of Dyer, IN, Aaron Hunter of Las Vegas, NV, and Dominic (Meghan) Puglisi of Chesterton, IN; grandchildren, Isabella and Samuel Puglisi; brother, Paul Puglisi; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis, Sr., & Minnie; and brothers, Francis “Bucky” Puglisi, Jr., and Anthony Puglisi.
