Joseph Allen Payne, 65, of Galien, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at his home. Joe was born on March 25, 1951 to the late James and Marie Payne in Three Oaks, MI. On October 22, 1966 he married Debbie Schrimsher. Joe is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Debbie; children, Anthony Payne, Joseph Payne, Jr. and Kimberly Payne; grandchildren; Kayla Payne, Dylan Payne, Alex Payne, Madisen Payne, Dakota Ferguson, Shalen Ferguson, Mercades Payne, Dalton Payne and Aden Payne; great granddaughter, Mia Payne; sister, Jane Wolf; brothers, Charles (Ella) Payne and Clifford “Skip” (Julie) Payne; step brothers, James and Tom (Dee Dee) Hogan and step sister, Sharee (Earl) Swank. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marie; brother, Robert Fry; sister, Kathi Christiansen and brother in law Frank Wolf. Funeral services for Joe will be held at 1 pm on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Burial will follow at Galien Cemetery.
