Bob graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend and attended Western Michigan University. There he met and married Janice Dixon. They had three children, Steven, Scott and Dawn and shared 56 years together.
From 1969-2000 Bob leased the shoe department at Rimes Department Store, retiring in 2004.
