Carl Alonzo Palmer, 57 of Benton Harbor went home to the Lord, June 15, 2016 at home. A service celebrating his life will be held Wednesday, June 22 at Family Funeral Home, Benton Harbor. Carl was born October 11, 1958 of Benton Harbor, the son of Mattie Fields and the late Lawrence Heggler. Carl enjoyed spending time with his brothers, laughing, joking and writing poems.
Carl is survived by his mother, Mattie Fields of Benton Harbor, sisters, Belinda Foster of Caruthersville, MO., Stephanie (Keith) McGee, of Benton Harbor; brothers, Michael Palmer and Alphonso (Deidra) Fields, both of Benton Harbor and Dewayne (Linda) Fields of Augusta, GA.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie Lou Palmer, father, and sister, Cheryl Heggler.
