David Wayne Sallee, age 50 years of Niles, Michigan died peacefully at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 with his family gathered around at his home following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born on March 3, 1966 in Berrien Center, Michigan to Robert and Iris M. (Schroer) Sallee, Sr. He attended Brandywine schools and was employed for many years at the L.H. Automotive Recycling in Niles.
He enjoyed gardening, but his greatest joy was his family who all loved him.
Surviving family includes his father, Robert Sallee, Sr. of Niles; siblings Laurie Mueller of Niles, Robert Sallee, Jr. of Oklahoma, John Sallee of South Bend, Indiana, and Thomas Sallee, Kenny Sallee, Tracy Sallee, and Gene Sallee, all of Niles; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Sallee on April 3, 1993.
The family of David Sallee will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Halbritter-Wickens Funeral Home in Niles. The visitation will conclude with a brief ceremony by a family friend, Mr. Willie Moffitt of Niles.
