Roberta F. Rankin, 75, of St. Joseph, died Wednesday, May 23, 2023 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Crystal Springs Church of God with Pastor William Bridgman officiating. The visitation will begin at Noon of Wednesday at the Crystal Springs Church of God. Arrangements are by the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Instead of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Crystal Springs Church of God for the Bridges to Courage Program. Please share memories or messages at www.florin.net.
Roberta was born on December 25, 1947 in Pasadena, California to Robert and Jane Crouch. She married her husband, Marc Rankin, in 1979 and together they had 43 years of marriage. Roberta studied art in college for two years and then worked two jobs at the same time; Hallmark Cards for nine years and Lemon Tree for 2 ½ years. Roberta loved to collect animals but her passion was her art, including painting, crafts, and sewing.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband Marc, her children; Robbie Trail of Watervliet, Don (Michelle) Trail of St. Joseph, Eric (Paula) Rankin of Benton Harbor, Erin (Nicky) Rock of Texas, and Tracy Rock of Kalamazoo, her sister Marcie (Terry) Cheney of New Troy, her 14 grandchildren, her 17 great grandchildren and her best friend Linda Watkins of Watervliet.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jacqulyn Reisig.
