Charles Thomas Sandusky, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025, in Niles, Michigan. Born on March 1, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Geraldine (Uebel) Sandusky, Charles’s early years in the heartland instilled in him the values of hard work and the importance of family, which he carried throughout his life.

A proud graduate with a Bachelor of Science, Charles parlayed his education into a successful career as an accountant at State Tool Manufacturing. His meticulous nature and integrity made him a respected figure both in his profession and within the community. His colleagues remember him not only for his professional acumen but also for his camaraderie and unwavering support.

Charles’s passion for life was evident in his personal pursuits. An avid golfer, he celebrated the remarkable achievement of two holes-in-one and enjoyed many years playing in a golf league, where he formed lasting friendships and shared countless laughs. His love for the outdoors extended beyond the fairways; he was an enthusiastic outdoorsman who relished in fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling, embracing the beauty of nature in every adventure.

Those who knew Charles understood that his heart was as generous as it was steadfast. He was a man who gave selflessly, whether it was his time, his wisdom, or his resources. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his son, Jason Sandusky; daughter-in-law, Nicole Sandusky; beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alayni, and Cooper Sandusky; and his sister, Shirley (Larry) Neher. His long-time companion, Denise Weybright will fondly remember the joy and companionship they shared.
