Jimmie Lee Holton

Jimmie Lee Holton was born April 8, 1948, in Decatur, MS to the late Vonnie Lee Holton and Clemmie Holton.

Jimmie was an extraordinary individual who conquered most challenges that came his way. He was a highly successful and diligent man.  He was a devoted father, not only to his children but to many others as well. Jimmie was a true superhero to his children and grandchildren. He selflessly dedicated countless hours of his time and expertise to prepare his family for life.  Jimmie’s family and friends was the joy of his heart, but he also enjoyed bowling and visiting the casino.

Jimmie accepted Christ as his Lord and Savoir and was later Baptized.

In 1968, Jimmie was enlisted in the United States Army.  After bravely serving to protect our country during Vietnam War, Jimmie earned the esteemed title of War Hero. In 1970, Jimmie returned home to his family after receiving an Honorable discharge.

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, departed this life January 24, 2025, at home surrounded by the prayers of his daughter.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory (5) children, Teijuana Holton, Lashonda (Solomon) Holton-Smith, Jermaine Weatherspoon, Brandon (Brooklyn) Price, and Brandalyn Price; (15) grandchildren, Apprentice Holton, Carnisha Kiser, Jacquise Holton, Shaniqua Holton, Evalaya Smith, Sonaviah Smith, Ashley Johnson, Jermaine Weatherspoon Jr., Felicity Weatherspoon, Jeremiah Weatherspoon, Brayden Bullock, Jaden Price, Tyler Price, MacKenzie Price and Gianna Price; (9) great-grandchildren; a special love one, Gloria Burt; (2) sisters, Ida McGee and Verna Holton; (2) brothers, T. H. (JoAnn) Holton and Harolson Holton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Holton, and five brothers, Mathis Holton, Jefferson Holton, Jerry Holton, James Holton and Charles Holton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
