Mother Rosie Mae Walls, 75 of Benton Harbor went home to be with her Lord on April 3, 2017 at home.
Rosie was born December 20, 1941 to the late Sam and Sarah Doolittle in Hughes, ARK. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. S.M. Pearls, Rising Sun Baptist Church, Hughes, ARK. Rosie attended Mildred Jackson High School in Hughes and later moved to Benton Harbor where she furthered her education. She was employed at the Paramount Die Casting Service in Stevensville. Rosie also worked as a Home Health Care Provider. Mother Rosie was later untied in Holy matrimony to the late Leon Walls on February 14, 1970 and to that union three children were born. Rosie untied with the New Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Mitchell H. Resberry and later joined Israelite M.B. Church where she was a faithful member and continued to flourish and grow in the Lord.
Mother Rosie leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Melissa Walls and Tiffany (Timmie) Vinson; stepdaughter, Iris Walls; son, Leon A. Walls Jr.; grandchildren, Theresa Walls, Lamanon Walls, Sierra Walls, Nakija Walls, Timiesha Vinson, Ashley Walls, Iyanna Walls, Timmie Vinson Jr, Yazmeen Walls and Samuel and Sheldon Gulley; 4 great grandchildren; special great granddaughter, Sa’Miyah Walls; sisters, Lonnie B. Doolittle, Georgia M. Morrow and Anner Brown; brother, Larry Doolittle; goddaughters, Sherry Lucther and Tamea London; godson, Kevin Cloy; god sisters, Margie Love and Marilyn Williams; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, family and friends.
Mother Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Walls Sr.; son, Levell Doolittle; sisters, Sammie Perry and Dorothy Dortch; brother, Arthur Doolittle.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Home, Benton Harbor.
