Katherine Gladys Mumford, 78, of Gobles, returned to the arms of her truelove on Valentines Day 2026.
She was born April 21, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Martin Hennig and Caroline (Roehlke) Henning.
On October 7, 1967, she was united in marriage to Robert Mumford, who preceded her in death in 2005.
Katherine loved everything outdoors. She and Robert had their four-wheeler that they enjoyed many trips on. She looked forward to family cookouts in the summer, camping, and annual trips to the UP. Tending to her flowers brought her great joy, especially white daisies. Katherine was a happy spirit and was known as the local “grandma” to many. Her grandchildren were the lit of her life. She was supportive of their activities like volleyball and taking them swimming.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Nathan Harder) Forker of Gobles; two grandchildren, Mikaela (Joseph) Hill and Savannah Forker.
Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald C. Moritz officiating. Following services, there will be a time of food and fellowship at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at Earl Cemetery in Gobles.
