Jeffery Robert Steele, 59, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, in Niles, Michigan.
Jeff was born on June 17, 1966 in Niles, Michigan to the late Dianna Lynn (Mohr) Tucker.
Left to cherish the memory of Jeff is his loving wife, Kimberly (Klingerman) Steele; children, Miya (Courtland) Steele-Lamberton, Jasmine Martin, and Deven (Andrea) Martin, and grandchildren, Gabberell, Kelsi, Asher, Sophia, and Jagger.
Jeff will be remembered as a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the people he loved most. A devoted fan, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Michigan Wolverines, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Blackhawks. He also enjoyed the fast-paced excitement of NASCAR and could often be found rewatching his favorite films from the James Bond series.
Jeff loved the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing whenever he could. He took pride in working with his hands, whether it was mechanical work, tinkering at his workbench, or mowing the grass on a warm afternoon. If something needed fixing, Jeff was always ready to lend a hand.
He had a sweet tooth for ice cream and cookies, enjoyed grilling for family and friends, and loved relaxing by the fire. Music and dancing brought him happiness, but nothing meant more to him than watching his children play sports and celebrating their accomplishments.
Above all, Jeff loved his family deeply. His generosity, steady presence, and willingness to help anyone in need will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
