Jerry Lee Anderson, 72, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026 in Niles. He was born July 3, 1953 in Lansing, MI to George and Leta (Aubel) Anderson.
Jerry was the kind of person who could see the full beauty in life. He had an eye for photography – a passion he started in his younger years that truly never faded. He was an avid beachcomber; seeking out the rare and unique rocks that line the shores of Lake Michigan – collecting those he most treasured. If he wasn’t on the shoreline, you could often find him enjoying a swim in the open water. Never one to meet a stranger, Jerry made friends easily and often. But the most beautiful thing in life for Jerry was the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren, who will miss his spirit dearly.
Jerry will be missed by his wife of 23 years, Lori (Smith) Anderson, whom he married December 28, 2002; his children, Nichole (Cory Brugh) Anderson, Rachael (Quinn) Fletcher, and Jeremy (Brandy) Anderson; his step-daughter, Ashley Smith; his grandchildren, Lorellei, Riley, Eliza, Sawyer, Piper, and Amelia; and his siblings, Dave Anderson, Susan Anderson, and Bob Anderson. He is preceded in death by his parents.
