Danny “Dan” D. Henley, 57 of Benton Harbor departed this life on May 25, 2017 at home.
Dan was born October 18, 1959 in Benton Harbor to Frances and John Henley. He was raised with eight brothers and sisters. Dan had a heart of gold and was known as a hard worker. He worked at Rapid Print for 32 years with coworkers that became like family, especially the Rice, Davies, Dumont and Nichols families.Dan never liked being still, he like to stay busy. He cared a lot for everyone he ever met and he had plenty of adopted daughters and sons. Dan helped raise his sister’s children when she passed and loved them dearly. His best friend was his dog Spot. Dan loved his entire family including the Bennet family and the Jennings family.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Jennifer ( Corey Cowgill) Henley; Dwane (Bryce) Newton and Danny (Melissa) Henley Jr.; sisters, Sandy Henley, Debbie Oliver and Linda Henley; brother, Johnny Henley; grandchildren, Anthony Jackson Jr., Landon Henley, Danni Henley III, Shyanne Newton, Jet Newton, Cassidy Henley, Braedon Henley and Destiny Henley; brother-in-law, Gary White; Blevins family; Mclaughlin family; a host of family and friends.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Henley; brothers, Samuel Henley and Ronny Henley; brother-in-law, Pat Oliver; friends, Judy rice and Gip.
