Lou Jean Burton

Lou Jean Burton, 69 of Benton Harbor went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2017 at the Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville.
Lou Jean entered this world November 16, 1948 in Dewitt, Ark. Here spirit was filled with joy and happiness to all that come in contact with her. Lou Jean was employed by Benton Harbor School System as a “grandma” and she was loved by everyone. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, putting events together and working with children.
Lou Jean leaves precious memories in the hearts of her husband, Duane Burton; children, Samantha Harries, Teresa Harris, Mark (Patricia) Harris and Thomas (Erica) Harris; step daughter, Davielle Burton; sisters, Joyce Hyman, Reber Harris, Lillie Ann Harris and Donna (Steve) Pullaim; brother, Robert Harris; In-laws, the Rev. and Mrs. Willie T. Burton; brothers-in-law, Willie Burton Jr., Harold (Carolyn) Burton and Chris Burton; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Bruce) Harves, Thomasina (Vonderrick) Clement; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Lou Jean was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Lille Mae Callahan; granddaughter, Monique Wright; nephew Darrell Pulliam
