
Paul Edward Hapke, Jr., 62, of Pullman, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was born on October 26, 1955 to Paul E. and Alice Patricia (Davoren) Hapke, Sr. in Chicago, IL. He married Julie (Cramer) on November 21, 1994 in Allegan, MI. They enjoyed 23 years of marriage. Paul worked for Consumers Energy at Palisades Power Plant in South Haven for 30 years and at their store room in Grand Rapids, Michigan for 4 years, retiring in 2012. Paul was an ordained minister. Paul loved his farm, animals, fishing and boating. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Linda Boyles.
Paul is survived by his wife – Julie, children – Julie Hapke of Holland, MI, Paul (Rebekah) Hapke III of Pullman, MI, Adam Currie of Mishawaka, IN, Angela (Robert) Sprague of Gobles, MI, and Karissa Hapke of Kalamazoo, MI, grandchildren – Alexis Vanaelst, Ethan Slawson, Bryce Hapke, Isabelle Hapke, Kylie Sprague and Aria Sprague, Sisters – Kathy (Chuck) Pumnea of Highland, IN, Debbie (Dave) Hutchins of Fennville, MI, Janice (Bruce) Taylor of Crown Point, IN and Pam (Albert) Rawson of Grand Junction, MI. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 29 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven, MI. Memorial services will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM with Pastor Herb Curry officiating.
