Willie Boykins

Willie L Boykins, 72 of Benton Harbor went home to be with the Lord June 18, 2018 at the Hanson Hospice Center with his loving wife by his side.

Willie was born August 5, 1945 in Jonestown, MS to the union of Tobe and Carrie Boykins. He was raised and educated in Mississippi. Willie accepted Christ at an early age and latter relocated to Benton Harbor where he met his wife of 20 years, Dorothy Dale whom he called “Sugar”. They were united in holy matrimony by Pastor Lee Jones at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Benton Harbor where they were members and later moved their membership to Road to Life, St. Joseph.
Willie leaves precious memories in the hearts of his loving wife, Dorothy Boykins; children, LaQuita and Willette Boykins of Benton Harbor, Robert Willis of Benton Harbor and Necole Willis of Indianapolis; 3 grandchildren of Indianapolis and 2 of Benton Harbor; 1 great granddaughter of Indianapolis; sisters, Annie Mae Allen of Mississippi and Ruby Jones of Illinois and Delorse Morgan of Milwaukee; brothers, James Valentine of Benton Harbor, L C (Catherine) Johnson and Fredrick Shelton of Mississippi; special friends, brothers by another mother, Josh Cook and Time Perdue; a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
